The powdered rosin is ground passing a single filter and contains fine powder with a small proportion of slightly larger grains.
Usage:
- sports: in climbing, ballet and gymnastics it increases the grip
- arts and crafts: sizing for papermaking, additive for historical color varnish ( e.g. violine varnish)
- electronics: solder flux
- incense
- printmaking: rosin dust to powder the copperplate for aquatint
- and many other uses
Rosin is a natural product and is prepared from the resin produced by pine trees.
